NEKC 2013 Open Show Announcement... 

It is with great regret we have to announce that the North East Koi Clubs 2013 Open koi show will not go ahead this year. 

This year’s open show was to be held in conjunction with Gateshead councils very popular flower show which attracted over 20,000 visitors each year, BUT, unfortunately due to government cut backs and financial restraints Gateshead council have had no option but to cancel this year’s flower show and until it is financially viable to hold their show again. 

Unfortunately due to this announcement the committee and members feel it is not viably possible to hold our own open koi show this year due to venue restrictions, time and financial constraints, this is another great loss to the koi society for 2013.

All of last year’s exhibitors and dealers will be sent notification of this sad news from Michael Hall our Show Chairman. 

As from now we are starting our search for a new venue and sponsors for 2014 so fingers crossed we are successful and once again hold our very popular Open Koi Show...
