2009 Show Build…

Hi All

Well this is our 9th Open Koi and Craft Show, with the addition of the Willowbog Bonsai Show.  I thought it would be a nice idea to put a show build dairy on our newly built website and hopefully gain some interest.  

Today was the first day of the NEKC show build, we have had a great start today, even though the container which holds all the shows equipment arrived late, but until the container arrived there was still plenty of work to do, first task of the day was to mark out the show vat area and put down a layer of carpet and two layers of visqueen.  Once the container had arrived we all had to take out all the show equipment which took some time, then all the vats had to be put into place and sterilized.

We have ten 2.5 metre vats and twenty 2 metre vats so a nice number, then it was on to the lighting gantry which are build round the vats the corner sections where a bit of a brain numer but we worked it out in the end, as well as the work being done inside there was work being done outside, all the fresh water vats for water changes had to be set up and filled with purified water and all the zeolite washed  and sorted and placed into the blue domes which were put in to all the vats.
